Files and share data

Uploaded files, file names, share identifiers, expiration settings, optional password status, and download activity are processed so the service can store, deliver, expire, and delete files.

Files automatically expire based on the selected retention period. Anyone with sufficient access to a share link may also remove files before expiration.

Security and abuse logs

We may record IP addresses, timestamps, user agents, request metadata, file sizes, checksums, and administrative actions. These records help prevent abuse, investigate incidents, and maintain service reliability.

We may preserve or disclose relevant records when required by law, to enforce our Terms, to respond to abuse reports, or to protect users and the service.

FileShare.top uses essential cookies for features such as password-protected shares, download confirmation, and administrator authentication. These cookies are not used for advertising.

Your responsibilities

Do not upload sensitive content unless you understand the sharing model and have authorization to share it. For highly confidential files, encrypt the content before upload and send passwords through a separate channel.
